New Options for creating Blackboard Collaborate sessions.

Exciting news, Blackboard Collaborate has update the page used to create new sessions.   It’s now much easier to use, the date picker makes sense, telephony information is front and present, and best of all, the Guest Link is back.  You can capture the URL of the session right after you create the session and publish it to your course, send it via email to guests, or anything else you need to do days or weeks in advance of the session start.

Here’s some screenshots to get you started

All you need now is to type in a name for your session.  Collaborate intelligently chooses NOW for the default start time.

You can click the Options, but you probably don’t need to.  The defaults are much more sensible.

As soon as the session is created, a summary window will appear.  This window contains the Guest URL that you can copy and share with others, or paste in  your course.   Click Show to reveal the URL.

This page also contains the Phone Number if you will be using the telephony option.

Collaborate itself is unchanged.  This update is focused only on the page for creating new sessions.

Please take a look, let me know how much you love the new interface.

Thanks, Glen
